About Carrie

With over twelve years of experience both as a Marketing Manager and designer, Carrie brings a unique, client-centric perspective to each project. She has planned, executed and overseen a wide range of communications projects for profit and non-profit clients in the publishing, design, high-tech and education sectors. With a background in both writing and design, Carrie works in both the visual and verbal realms to deliver powerful communications packages.

As an Art Director at Calfo Design Group and Ives Advertising, Carrie worked on the redesign of the Hearst Digital Media magazine websites, including Good Housekeeping, CosmoGirl! and Seventeen. She has created websites, advertising and communications collateral for public biotech firms, publishing houses, educational institutes, cosmetic companies, and non-profit entities. She is also the head designer and co-founder of the popular working mom's blog, ad hoc MOM.

Carrie received her Master’s in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, where she received the Excellence in Academic Achievement Award and graduated with Distinction. She graduated magna cum laude from Kenyon College, with a Bachelor’s in English and Art History.

She was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York where she now resides with her husband and two children.
