Carrie's love of a good story often leads her to solutions that have a visual surprise. For an exhibit at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum on the home life of married design icons Josef and Anni Albers, she chose magnets on a refrigerator--the ultimate symbol of the domestic sphere. Sure, finding an authentic 1930's refrigerator was a challenge, but it was worth it. Her award-winning poster for the Fur Free alliance contrasted the cheerful script of a shopping back with a grisly cause and effect message about the fur industry.
